Haven Home Safe

The central intake and access point for northern suburbs. They provide a range of housing services, support programs and referrals, Emergency Accommodation and case management for people who are homeless or who are at risk of homelessness. Drop in before midday for crisis accommodation that night. Appointments made from midday onwards.

Housing for the Aged Action Group

The first contact point for older people with a housing query or problem, Intake workers help clients understand the housing system, housing options and services available to them. Referrals can be made to housing, health and aged care services to ensure integrated support is in place.

Launch Housing

Launch Housing provides crisis short-term housing, support, education and employment services. Launch Housing also drives social policy change, advocacy, research and innovation. Located at St Kilda, provides crises accommodation after 5pm.

Tenants Union

Tenants Victoria (formerly Tenants Union of Victoria) promotes and protects the rights of tenants and residents in most types of rented homes across Victoria, Australia. Inform, educate and assist individuals to use their tenancy rights.

Berry Street Youth Transitional Support Service

Youth Housing Case Management, Counselling for those at risk of homelessness. Youth housing worker will meet the young person in the community. Some youth housing available (limited).

Merri Outreach Support Service (MOSS)

MOSS runs a number of programs providing housing support to people of Banyule and Nillumbik. The Crisis Response Program is a short-term program that offers team case management to support people experiencing homelessness and/or housing crisis. For those consumers requiring longer-term case management MOSS will seek to refer to the appropriate case management program, often a transitional support program. Housing Support for the Aged Program provides services to residents of Nillumbik. The Connections Program provides short term support for over 25 years of age from Banyule and Nillumbik.

Free Laundry and showering service.

Frontyard

Provides meals, youth workers, housing worker, a refuge, crisis accommodation, Centrelink assistance and links with services.

Reconnect - HealthAbility

Reconnect supports young people whose housing is unstable and are at risk of becoming homeless or who are homeless. The Youth team works with at-risk youth to reconnect, maintain and develop healthy connections with family, friends, school and community.

Asylum Seeker Resource Centre

Foodbank and community lunch 5 days per week. Primary Health Care Services. Material Aid: including Myki credit, international calling cards, mobile phones and gift cards to buy household items urgently needed.  General Access Program (GAP), and for a range of issues, including homelessness, family violence and social isolation. Case Management, Housing and rental support to those seeking asylum or with refugee status.
